Rising Sun closed out the Ohio River Valley Conference season with a 3-0 win over Switzerland County on Thursday, Sept. 22nd at Rising Sun.

The Lady Shiners won each set by scores of 25-4, 25-16 and 25-12.

Danyka Groover led the hitting attack with 24 kills and four blocks followed by Lindsay Montgomery with six kills and a block and setter Sydney Bostic getting three back line kills.

Kassidy Romans led the team with 11-for-11 and four aces. Tyrrah Miller was 10-for-12 with four aces. Cora Poling and Lucy Phelps were 17-for-17 and two aces each. Grace Bujack was 7-for-9 with two aces.

Kassidy Romans serve 11-for-11 and four serves to lead RS to a three set win over Switzerland County.

Romans led the team with 12 digs and had eight serve receptions with Abby Wallace. Bostic had 27 assists.

On Tuesday, Sept. 18, Rising Sun defeated South Dearborn 25-17, 25-23, and 25-19.

Groover led the team with 15 kills and three blocks.

Cora Poling had nine kills. Montgomery had six kills and four blocks.

The Shiners had one of its top serving nights of the season with 54-for-58 for 93.1 percent. Miller was 15-for-15 with two aces.

Bostic was 7-for-7 and an ace with Grace Bujack 8-for-10 and an ace, Romans 9-for-9, Phelps 10-for-11 and Wallace 5-for-6.

Romans posted 15 digs followed by Bujak 10, Wallace eight and Miller seven.

Bostic had 26 assists.

Bujak led in serve reception with 15 followed by Romans 13, Miller 12, and Wallace eight.

Rising Sun reserve defeated South Dearborn 0: 25-20, 25-20 and Switzerland County 25-17, 25-12.

The Lady Shiners close out the regular season at home against South Decatur tonight (Thursday) before hosting an invitational on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Lawrenceburg on Tuesday.
