Rising Sun announces Revenue Sharing figures

The Rising Sun City Council has approved its quarterly distribution of riverboat gaming tax funds.

Rising Sun received $192,926.80 in admission tax revenue and $273,312.14 in wagering tax for a total of $466,138.94.

Of the total, 30-percent ($81,993.64) goes to the county and 50-percent ($96,413.40) for local entities.

Funds were approved for:

– Life Squad $5,754.63

- Fire Department $5,754.63

– Library $2,877.32

– Rising Sun Schools $28,773.19

– Community Development $4,315.98

– Police Department $10,070.62

– Parks Department $10,070.62

- Port Authority $719.33

– Community Development $66,178.34

– Special Needs $15,825.26

- Redevelopment $719.33

- Infrastructure $113,654.09

- Utilities $23,018.55
