This Sunday, October 13th at 2 p.m. there will be a special presentation in the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park as part of the Vevay Switzerland County Bicentennial.
In conjunction with the finale Birthday Celebration, there will be a dedication of a Revolutionary War Memorial for the 98 Revolutionary War soldiers who came to Switzerland County, Indiana.
The dedication will be held at the amphitheater, and the memorial will later be installed for permanent display in the main hallway of the Switzerland County Courthouse.
Please join the community in paying tribute to these brave souls who served our country during the Revolutionary War, and also helped to form one of the early counties that became part of the State of Indiana.
This memorial will serve to recognize and honor all of these soldiers and early pioneers. For more information, contact Judy Kappes at 534-3608.
