To the Editor:
On Tuesday, September 26th, I visited Ruth (Osborn) Jackson in Miller’s Merry Manor in Rushville. She was my fifth and sixth grade teacher in Long run School.
Her sight, for reading, does not seem to be what she would desire. Her hearing is down, but not as far as mine. She remembers many of the people and events around Vevay. She is 97.
We visited about two hours and I enjoyed it. We got some good laughs out of things we remembered from that time, 1934-36. If anyone who knew her should be near Rushville, drop by and see her. You’ll both enjoy the visit.
