Relay for Life is Saturday

The annual Switzerland County Relay for Life will be held this Saturday, June 27th, in the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park.

This year’s event has a new format, with the Relay beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing on to 11 p.m.

The Relay for Life will feature a wide range of events and activities, including bouncy houses for kids; a fish fry; a Poker Run sponsored by the American Legion Riders; an auction; a 3-on-3 tournament coordinated by Kyle Green; and a Corn Hole Tournament.

There will be a deejay playing music throughout the day; and organizers are also working to coordinate a co-ed softball tournament. Those wanting information on the softball tourney should text (812) 571-1010.

There will also be a 5K Walk/Run that will begin with sign up at 7 a.m. and the race starting at 8 a.m.

Team applications are available at Friendship State Bank in Vevay and Uptown Pizza in East Enterprise.
