absentee ballot applications now available

This year’s General Election is causing discussion and interest at all levels.

One of the most discussed topics is registering to vote and the use of absentee ballots if the resident is not available or comfortable voting in person.

Here’s what you need to know about voting in Switzerland County:

  • Registration is now open for those wanting to vote in the General Election. Those wishing to register may do so in the Switzerland County Clerk’s office in the courthouse.

Registration ends at the close of the business day (3:30 p.m.) on Monday, October 5th, 2020.

  • For those wanting an absentee ballot, applications are now being accepted in the clerk’s office. The first day that a voter may cast an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office is on Tuesday, October 6th.

  • Anyone having any questions about voting or if you are eligible to vote should contact the Clerk’s office at (812) 427-4415.
