The famed Cincinnati Reds Caravan – an annual winter tradition in which members of the professional baseball team makes stops around the region – will make a stop in Vevay for the first time ever.

The caravan will stop in Vevay on Friday, January 23rd, and is expected in town at 9:00 a.m. The caravan will be downtown, and will gather at the Hoosier Theater.

Expected to be on hand are current Reds manager Dusty Baker; former Reds pitcher and current broadcaster Jeff Brantley; and current broadcaster George Grand.

Team officials also say that some former and current Reds players will also be a part of the caravan, but those players have not yet been confirmed.

Those in attendance will appear at the Hoosier Theater, and will discuss the upcoming season. They are also expected to take some questions, time permitting.

The event is open to the public, and there is no admission charge.

Stopping in a community the size of Vevay is unusual for the caravan, which normally targets larger cities around the Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia area.

After leaving Vevay, the caravan will go to Evansville, Indiana for its next stop.
