Switzerland County senior Aleiah Thomas posted a milestone last Thursday night in a game against Southwestern, when she became the school’s all time leading scorer for girls basketball. Her six points on the night raised her tally to 1,216, surpassing Brooke Todd, right, who was on hand for the moment. Todd is currently a senior member of the Hanover College women’s basketball team. Going into Tuesday night’s game against Jac-Cen-Del, Thomas’ career total now stands at 1,238 points. Todd is now second with 1,215; Eve Galbreath is third with 1,199; Melissa Ellegood (Bilz) is fourth with 1,177; and Ashley Chase (Kitts) is fifth and the final member of the 1,000-point club, her total standing at 1,134.
