As with nearly all other activities that were hampered by the recent winter weather, last Sunday’s ‘Queen of Hearts’ pageant sponsored by the Switzerland County FFA chapter had to be moved.

The pageant will now be held this Sunday, March 1st, in the Switzerland County High School cafeteria. The pageant will begin at 2 p.m., doors open at 1:30 p.m.; and there is a $3 admission charge.

Unlike other pageants held during the year, the Queen of Hearts pageant also asks each candidate to select a platform involving some social or community issue. The Switzerland County FFA chapter then adopts the platform of the winning contestant and raises money for that cause during the coming year.
