There will be a special Prom Fashion Show on Thursday, March 3rd in support of this year’s prom.
With the difficult economy, school officials and prom organizers are doing everything they can to make sure that everyone gets to attend the prom if they choose to do so.
To that end, the prom committee is asking anyone in the community who has a used or new prom dress or bridesmaid dress or a tuxedo or suit to donate them to the cause.
Items must be in good condition.
On Thursday, March 3rd, a fashion show will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m.; where the formal wear will be available for purchase.
If sold, 70-percent of the sale price will go to the person making the donation; with the remainder going to the prom committee. Any items not sold will be returned to the donor.
An admission fee of $1 will be charged for the fashion show.
Those wanting to make a donation should bring the items to the high school on the day of the show along with an envelope stating the donor’s name, address, and phone number. The donor’s name should be attached to the dress or suit with a safety pin.
