Employees of the Patriot Water Company recently won a statewide competition sponsored by Alliance of Indiana.
The competition, which timed employees to see who could fix a water leak in the shortest amount of time, was held recently at Alliance’s conference in Brownstown, Indiana.
Sherry Ogden, superintendent of Patriot Water Company, said that employees Gary Davis and Chris Blair participated in the competition, which saw the winners publicized in the “Indiana Public Works News”, a trade paper that is sent to all of the utilities in this area.
“There were several teams that competed against each other in the contest,” Sherry Ogden said. “Alliance put a pipe out with a leak in it, and everyone was timed in stopping the leak. We are really proud of the guys winning this competition.”
Patriot Water Company has four maintenance employees and three office employees, and currently serve approximately 3,000 customers with more than 270 miles of pipeline.
