I hope everyone had a great Halloween and didn’t forget to vote. My family and I went Trick or Treating in Patriot on Halloween night despite the cold and rain. There was a lot people and all the local businesses were passing out candy. The Patriot Volunteer Fire Department gave out hot-dogs and drinks at the firehouse. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing a good turnout for Trick or Treating.

Karen Butler and Lorraine Butler of Wapakoneta, Ohio, drove down to Rising Sun on Friday evening to spend the weekend. On Saturday, they spent the day with family members, Janet Bond, Bobby Patrick, Craig Bond, and Randy Craig. They also visited with Eva Minger at the Milan nursing home. Saturday evening they all enjoyed the Harvest Supper at the Methodist Church in Rising Sun. Lorraine and Karen left for home on Sunday morning. Earlier last week Wanda Benzing and Ann McElaney stopped in to see Janet Bond at her new home in Rising Sun. Janet said that her and her daughter, Bobby, are still in the process of making Janet’s house feel like home. Any friends are very welcomed to visit Janet at her new place.
