Happy 69th Anniversary to Don and Mary Ellen Witt!
Heartfelt condolences to the family of Alan Harris who passed away last week. His wife Sarah also died on Highway 56/156 in a motor vehicle and I believe Alan lost both of his parents to a car accident when he was a student at Purdue.

Sue Jacobs called this week for this recipe. Originally included in an article last fall, it seems much more appealing now in warmer weather. She highly recommends it so I am sharing it again:
BANANA SPLIT SALAD
1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup sugar
1 (20oz) can crushed pineapple in juice, drained
1 (10oz) package frozen strawberries in syrup, thaw/ undrained
2 bananas, coarsely chopped
1 (12oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 cup chopped walnuts
Combine cream cheese and sugar; beat at med. speed until blended. Stir in pineapple, strawberries and bananas. Fold in whipped topping and nuts. Pour into ungreased 9×13 pan. Freeze 8 hours. Let stand 30 minutes before serving.
