  Vevay’s Historic Hoosier Theater Movie Night will be this Saturday, May 12th featuring ‘Paddington 2’ at 7 p.m. for $3.

  Sandy Dawson is asking for participants and sponsors for the ALS Walk to be held in Florence, Kentucky on Saturday, May 19th. Her husband Wayne Dawson has been diagnosed with ALS. Anyone interested, please contact Sandy at home (402 Walnut Street in Vevay) or by phone (812) 427-0427.

  The Patriot Baptist Church will hold “Church in the Park” on Sunday, May 20th at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend the morning service to be held in Harris Park at the center of Town. The service will be followed by a picnic and Community Free Swap. Donations of clothing, canned goods, and other items are requested.

  The Red Hot Hatters are busier than ever with plans for their yard sales on Saturdays May 12th and 19th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Oyo Vista housing addition. We will be setting up with Red Hot Hatter Claudia Dawson at 10 Packet Blvd.

  The May meeting of the Red Hot Hatters will be on Thursday, May 17th at the Vevay American Legion Post #185 located at 213 Ferry Street in Vevay and beginning at 11 a.m.. All are welcome!

  The 4th of July Parade this year will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4th with lineup at the Patriot Boat Ramp beginning at 9 a.m. Registration forms will be available the day of the Parade at sign-up. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Liability waivers must be signed in advance. The Town of Patriot is the only incorporated town in the United States with the name of Patriot making our Parade, the only true Patriot Parade. Immediately following the Parade there will be a flag ceremony at the Memorial Park. The day’s activities will conclude in Harris Park and will include a meal.
