Pacers runners open year with Small School Invite
The Switzerland County varsity cross country teams set course on a big season on Saturday by participating in the Small School Invite.
Head coach Meganmarie Dennis said that it was an outstanding day for both the boys and girls teams, as Switzerland County had three runners place in the top 30 overall in their races.
• Cooper Hon placed eighth overall in the boys race with a time of 17:52.
• Gracie White placed eighth overall in the girls race with a time of 21:11.
• Claire Rogers placed 15th overall in the girls race with a time of 22:06.
The Pacer boys team placed 13th out of 28 teams at the Invitational. Along with Hon:
• Nathan Furnish was 38th overall with a time of 19:14.
• Cale Collier was 97th overall with a time of 20:34.
• Luke Sullivan was 170th overall with a time of 22:35.
• Kadyn Riley was 174th overall with a time of 22:41.
• Dylan Sullivan was 196th overall with a time of 23:42.
• Canaan Johnson was 232nd overall with a time of with a 25:21.
• Derek Hoskins was 237th overall with a time of 25:33.

Along with the efforts of White and Rogers, the Lady Pacers girls team placed 11th overall:
• Amber Detmer was 84th overall with a time of 26:02.
• Carlee Boggs was 101st overall with a time of 26:40.
• Ashlyn Covington was 112th overall with a time of 27:11.
