Pacers honored by conference


The Ohio River Valley Conference has announced its “Top Performers” and “Players of the Week” in girls and boys basketball for the time period of December 1st-6th.

– In girls basketball, Lady Pacers Maggie Armstrong, Jenna Daugherty, and Kristen Perry were honored as “Top Performers”.

Maggie Armstrong was honored for her 33 points, seven rebounds, and eight steals over a two game stretch.

Jenna Daugherty was honored for her eight points and 13 rebounds against Milan.

Kristen Perry was honored for her 12 points, 11 rebounds, and seven steals versus South Decatur.

Other conference players honored as “Top Performers” included:

Becca Wagner and Val Wagner of Jac-Cen-Del; Ebony Inskeep and Hana Roberts of Madison Shawe; and Kelly Stutler and Jess Wessler of Milan.

Erica Ester of South Ripley was honored as the conference’s “Player of the Week”.

– In boys basketball, Pacers Mark Sharp, Travis Tackett, and Brennan Bragg were highlighted as “Top Performers”.

Mark Sharp was honored for 14 points, 21 assists, and eight steals in two games.

Travis Tackett was honored for scoring 24 points, including six three-pointers; and pulling down 16 rebounds in two games.

Brennan Bragg was honored for 32 points and 10 rebounds in two games.

Others honored as “Top Performers” included:

Matt Gehl and Tim Arnett of Jac-Cen-Del; Jacob Sanders, Nico Mingione and Nick Hall of Madison Shawe; Chris Walker of Milan; Tanner Mahoney and Austin Ames of Southwestern; and Michael Lovern of Rising Sun.

Logan Jackson of Rising Sun and Blake Sutton of Jac-Cen-Del were honored as the co-winners of “Player of the Week” honors.
