The Switzerland County Pacer junior varsity football team fell to a very talented Trinity Lutheran varsity squad this past Saturday night, 52-8.
“Again, our players had a slow start defensively, which snowballed to the offensive end once we were behind,” head coach Ryan Jesop said. “Our lone score of the evening, came on a quarterback sneak up the middle by Mikey Gatto and Matt Roland punched the ball in for the 2-point conversion.”
The coach said that the week featured many different emotions for his squad, but the Pacers continue to battle.
“It has been a long week of highs and lows after playing a total of three games this week on both JV and ‘C’ team levels,” Coach Jesop said, “But we get a chance to gather our wits and shore up loose ends before traveling to face South Decatur’s JV team this coming Monday, September 29th.”
