Pacers fall to South Ripley by 4-1 count

The Switzerland County varsity baseball team lost to the South Ripley Raiders by a score of 4-1 on Monday night.

Pacer Zach Osowski was 2-for-3 at the plate, and scored the only run for the Pacers during the game. He doubled and then advanced to third base on a sacrifice bunt by Aaron Moore.

Ryan Peters then brought him home with a sacrifice fly to pick up the RBI. Travis Webster was 1-for-3 at the plate.

On the mound, Brandon Otter pitched 4 2/3 innings, picking up six strikeouts while allowing only two earned runs and two walks.

Zach Osowski pitched 1 1/3 innings of relief, and had three strikeouts and two walks.

“This is the same story as the first game; more errors than hits,” Pacer coach Shannon Barger said. “Brandon Otter and Zach Osowski threw well, but you are not going to win with three hits and four errors.”
