The Switzerland County Pacers earned a win 54-45 last Friday night over the Rising Sun Shiners.

The Pacers trailed the Shiners in the first half of the ball game, and couldn’t seem to get a good rhythm going, finishing the first quarter by trailing 11-9.

In the second quarter things didn’t improve much, and the Pacers headed to the locker room with a six point deficit, 25-19.

The second half began with Jordan Hinman being sent to the line for a freethrow, and when he converted one of his opportunities, it began to kick start the Pacer offense, pulling it out of the deficit.

Two minutes passed in the third quarter and Mark Sharp stole the ball and passed to Travis Webster, who connected on a three-point bucket. With less than a minute ticking off the clock, Travis Webster connected once again on a three point bucket – giving the Pacers the lead 26-25.

The Shiners responded by taking their final lead of the game; but it didn’t last long as T.J. Sefton rifled a nice pass inside to Jordan Hinman, who connected to take back the lead, 28-27;

T.J. Sefton then pegged two-three pointers to expand the lead to 34-29; and Cliff Meyer chipped in one at the line before T.J. Sefton took the ball inside to add two more, and the quarter ended with Switzerland County out in front, 37-32.

In the final quarter, Travis Webster stole the ball in the first minute and connected on a bucket; and then Kyle Green stole the ball and passed to Aaron Moore, who connected a shot that took the score to 41-32. Cliff Meyer added one more point at the line, and then followed with a bucket, and the game was secured for a Pacer win.

The Shiners continued to keep up the offensive pressure, but they were incapable of keeping up with the Pacer offensive outburst, as Kyle Green and Cliff Meyer would each add another bucket.

The game would end with T.J. Sefton being sent to the line to add four more points; and Travis Webster would finish the scoring for the Pacers at the line chipping in two more points to end the game with a 54-45 win.
