Pacers defeat Southwestern Shelby

Switzerland County rolled to an easy 58-27 win at Southwestern Shelby Saturday.

Sophomore Brennan Bragg scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Pacers while Kyle Green also scored 15 and Mark Sharp added eight.

Dan Welch had seven points, Brandon Otter scored four, Travis Tackett had three, Kameron Pavy and Michael Haas each had two and Clay Meyer and Devon Armstrong scored one each.

Switzerland County, now 9-5 on the season and winners of three straight, hosts New Washington tomorrow (Friday) for Homecoming and then entertain Milan on Saturday.

The junior varsity team also posted a win, defeating Southwestern Shelby by a final score of 60-37.

Travis Tackett led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds; and Alec McAlpine was also in double figures, finishing with 10 points, four assists, and three steals.

Corey McFarland had nine points and three rebounds; Tray Meyer added seven points; and Justin Reagan and Noah Hughes had four points each.

Kameron Pavy, Tanner Ross, Kendall Otter, and Danny Schira each chipped in two points in the victory.

The jayvee team record is now 9-5 overall.
