The Switzerland County baseball team rode an outstanding pitching effort from Bob Tressler and Kyle Konkle and defeated Milan last Wednesday by a score of 5-1.
Bob Tressler went four innings, striking out eight, walking three, allowing just one hit and one earned run. Kyle Konkle pitched the final three innings, picking up three strikeouts while allowing just one hit.
Offensively, the Pacers started doing damage in the third inning when Nate Hunter scored a run. Two more runs crossed the plate in the fourth when Douglas Ray and Tanner Jones both scored; and the final two Pacer runs came in the fifth compliments of Hunter Jordan and Bob Tressler.
Kyle Konkle and Hunter Jordan had singles in the third; Nate Hunter had a single in the fourth; and in the fifth Bob Tressler had a double, while Zach Whitaker and Dalton Wagner added singles.
