The Switzerland County Pacer varsity golf team finished off it’s conference schedule last Friday by participating in the ORVC Conference Meet held at the Hoosier Links Course in Milan.
Madison Shawe won the conference title with a team score of 319, easily outdistancing second place Milan and third place Southwestern – each of whom finished with a team score of 363, but Milan claimed second when its fifth golfer had a better score than Southwestern’s.
South Ripley was fourth with 365; followed by Rising Sun with 374; Switzerland County with 399; and Jac-Cen-Del with 425.
Switzerland County sophomore Tanner Ross earned his way onto the All Conference team by finishing seventh overall with an 18-hole total of 85.
Deuce Wall of Madison Shawe was the match medalist with a score of 76, followed by Jared Rogers of South Ripley (77); Nick Hall of Madison Shawe (79); Vincent Bottomley of Madison Shawe (80); Bryan Peters of Milan (81); and Eric Grote of Madison Shawe (84).
Following Tanner Ross were: Mike Lovern of Rising Sun (87); Brandon Scroggins of Madison Shawe (87); Nick Dean of Southwestern (89); Jake Waldron of South Ripley (90); Mathew Barringer of Southwestern (91); Caleb Jones of Southwestern (91); and Curtis Romans of Rising Sun (91).
Other scores for the Pacers included Kameron Pavy with a 97; Corey McFarland with a 103; Zack Daugherty with a 104; and Daniel Welch with a 115.

Last Wednesday, May 28th, the Pacers participated in a four-team match at Vineyard. Lawrenceburg won the match with a team score of 160; followed by Southwestern with 179; Jac-Cen-Del with 198; and Switzerland County with 207.
Individually, Kameron Pavy led the Pacers with a 49; followed by Tanner Ross with a 50 and Zack Daugherty with a 52. Jeff Mullins had a 56; and Corey McFarland finished with a 61.
