Pacers are honored as ‘Top Performers’

The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its “Players of the Week” and “Top Performers” for the week of February 4th-9th, and Switzerland County Pacers Mark Sharp and Clay Meyer were both honored as “Top Performers” for the week.

Mark Sharp was honored for his 18 points, four assists and four steals versus Lawrenceburg.

Clay Meyer was honored for his 14 points and six rebounds against Lawrenceburg.

Others honored as “Top Performers” included: Blake Sutton of Jac-Cen-Del; Chris Miller, Erik Demaree and Trent Tucker of South Ripley; and Logan Jackson and Zeph Vaughn of Rising Sun.

Matt Gehl of Jac-Cen-Del was honored as the “Player of the Week”.

The conference has also released statistical leaders:

– In boys basketball:

Kyle Green leads the ORVC in scoring with an average of 16.5 points per game; is third in the conference in the number of three-pointers made with 31; and is fifth in the conference in freethrow percentage at .750.

Brennan Bragg is fourth in the conference in rebounding with an average of 6.6 per game; is third the conference in field goal percentage at .530; and is eighth in freethrow percentage at .660.

Mark Sharp leads the conference in assists with 88, and is ninth in freethrow percentage at .600.
