Pacers 12th in golf sectional


A season filled with struggles as well as highlights came to an end on Monday when the Switzerland County varsity golf team competed in the Madison IHSAA Sectional Tournament.

The Pacers finished 12th overall in the 13-team field, finishing with a team score of 373 – as participants played 18 holes in the Sectional.

Madison on the Sectional with a score of 299; followed by Jennings County with 309; Madison Shawe with 313; East Central with 329; Lawrenceburg with 332; Southwestern with 336; Milan with 344; South Dearborn with 353; Rising Sun with 360; South Ripley with 366; Jac-Cen-Del with 368; Switzerland County with 373; and Rock Creek did not have enough players to record a team score.

Individually, Switzerland County was led by Tanner Ross, who finished with an 82 (41-41). Kameron Pavy had a 92 (44-48); Corey McFarland had a 98 (48-50); Zack Daugherty had a 101 (49-52); and Daniel Welch had a 106 (48-59).
