The Switzerland County Pacer track and field teams began their season on Tuesday night, March 6th, at the University of Indianapolis competing against some top flight talent from all around Indiana.
“The Roncalli Hoosier State Relays Qualifier was a great experience for the Pacers,” head coach Adam Pietrykowski said. “It is run in a very unique indoor facility, and the high quality competition helps to focus the team for what is hoped to be another very successful season.”
Teams competing at the meet included: Roncalli, Perry Meridian, Plainfield, Cardinal Ritter, Bishop Chatard, Brebeuf Jesuit, Noblesville, Decatur Central, Fishers, Southport, Avon, Noblesville, Herron and Switzerland County.
Switzerland County results for the boys team included:
• Max Anders: 5th in the High Jump
• Zach Howlett: 6th in the Shot Put
• Bailey Bennett, J.W. Goldsberry, Cameron Niswander, and Keegan Morris: 7th in the 4×200 m Relay
• Coby Manbeck, Cameron Niswander, Garrett Demaree, Jacob Wolf: 8th in the Distance Medley Relay
• Bailey Bennett: 9th in the 60-meter High Hurdles
• Keegan Morris: 9th in the 60-meter Dash
• Isaac Slover: 11th in the Shot Put
• Corey Taulbee: 13th in the High Hurdles
• Scotty Blair: 13th in the Long Jump
