Pacer teams capture three-way matchups

The boys and girls cross country teams from Switzerland County High School hosted a three-way meet last Thursday, competing with Madison Shawe and Carroll County.

In the girls race, the Lady Pacers won with a score of 26; followed by Madison Shawe with 30. Carroll County did not have enough runners to record a team score.

Individually, Robin Furnish won the race with a time of 23:11; followed by Paige Ridener in second place overall in a time of 23:21.

Allie Mathews was sixth overall in a time of 24:41; Jaclyn Hart was eighth in 26:43; Adeli Kinne was ninth in 29:54; and Samantha Reynolds was 10th in 29:55.

In the boys race, the Pacers won with a perfect score of 15, with neither Madison Shawe or Carroll County having enough runners to record a team score.

Braden Burk was the overall winner, covering the course in a time of 19:48. He was followed by Michael Douglas, who was second overall in 20:14.

Matt Yocum was fifth in a time of 20:34; Dakota Taylor was sixth in 20:46; Brady Voris was seventh in 21:48; Talen Taylor was eighth in 21:49; Quinn Meyer was ninth in 21:50; and Mikhail Cole was 10th in 21:51.

Anthony Dennis was 11th in a time of 21:52; Sean Oatman was 12th in a time of 21:53; Michael Scott was 13th in 22:11; and Quentin Reynolds was 16th in 23:56.
