Pacer soccer team opens season with 4-0 win


The Switzerland County Pacer varsity soccer team opened its season by earning its first victory of the year with a 4-0 win over Scottsburg.

In the win, Ian Sisson led the offensive attack with two goals on the night; while Kris Hetrick had one goal and one assist and Austin Reed also added a goal and recorded an assist.

Goalie Aaron Moore recorded 13 saves on the night to help the defense preserve the Pacers first shutout of the season.

Coach Tony Spoores noted outstanding performers included Tyler Frazier and Nathan Hickman on defense; and Matt Wegman and Justin Barnes in the mid-field.

The Pacers will be in action tonight (Thursday) at Rising Sun and tomorrow (Friday) night at Shawe.
