Pacer players are honored by ORVC

The Ohio River Valley Conference has announced its list of “Top Performers” and “Players of the Week” for the period from February 2nd-9th.

In girls basketball, Lady Pacers Lindsay Scott, Kristen Perry, and Maggie Armstrong were honored as “Top Performers”.

Lindsay Scott earned the honor by scoring 10 points and getting six rebounds against Southwestern.

Kristen Perry was honored for scoring 11 points and adding seven rebounds against Southwestern.

Maggie Armstrong was honored for scoring 15 points and adding eight assists and nine steals versus Rising Sun.

Others honored as “Top Performers” included: Erica Ester of South Ripley; Kayla Ferriera of Rising Sun; Hannah Hardy, Brandi Ponder, and Katie McKinley of Southwestern; Becca Wagner, Kristen Hicks, and Val Wagner of Jac-Cen-Del; Ebony Inskeep and Rachel Muessel of Madison Shawe; and Jess Wheeler of Milan.

Kelly Stutler of Milan was honored as the “Player of the Week”.

In boys basketball, Switzerland County’s Travis Tackett and Clay Meyer were honored as “Top Performers”.

Travis Tackett was honored for his 17 points, seven steals, and seven rebounds against Oldenburg.

Clay Meyer was honored for his 10 points and 11 rebounds against Oldenburg.

Others honored as “Top Performers” included: Blake Sutton and Tim Arnett of Jac-Cen-Del; Grayson Miller and Alex Walter of Milan; Thomas Welch, Andy Miller, and Chase Grider of South Ripley; Michael Lovern and Alex Dennis of Rising Sun; Nico Mingione, Michael Kring, and Brandon Scroggins of Madison Shawe; and Tanner Mahoney of Southwestern.

Matt Gehl of Jac-Cen-Del was honored as the “Player of the Week”.
