The Ohio River Valley Conference has announced its All Conference team in baseball for the 2012 season; and a pair of Switzerland County Pacers have been honored.
Earning spots on the 18-person squad are Switzerland County’s Hunter Jordan and Josh Yeary.
The team is selected by conference coaches, who are not allowed to vote for their own players.
Also on the squad are: Kyle Daugherty and David Grote of Madison Shawe; Joe Dicken, Jason Dilk, and Brandon Sizemore of South Ripley; Ryan Dugan, Nathan Hannan, Myles Morris, and Brandon Turner of Rising Sun; Gunnar Henry, Trace Taylor, and Darius Whitson-Spegal of Southwestern; Alex Schoettmer and Trent Smith of Jac-Cen-Del; and Bret Stites and Cory Strunk of Milan.
Rising Sun won the conference championship; and Jake Willhite of Rising Sun was honored with the conference’s Mental Attitude Award.
Kevin Wirsch of the Shiners was honored as the Coach of the Year.
