The Switzerland County High School wrestling team opened up its season last Friday night, November 17th.

The Pacers started out the night with a 42-18 win over Salem; then dropped the next two matches to Greensburg and Madison.

“Team scores were hurt with five guys out of the lineup but all should return for the next meet,” head coach Kris Sandlin said.

Leading the Pacers were: Jacob Wolf (3-0); and Andrew Garland, Christian Wilson, and Keygan Dowling (2-1).

“Competing with 10 freshman allows for a learning curve but we are excited by their work ethic and coachability,” Sandlin said.

The Pacers’s next meet is Wednesday, November 29th at home against New Washington.
