Pacer golfers win Rivertown Classic


This past Monday the Switzerland County Pacer golf team captured the Rivertown Classic four-way match, which was held at Belterra.

The Pacers won with a team score of 169; followed by Lawrenceburg with 180; South Dearborn with 195; and Rising Sun with 244.

Walter Barnes was the medalist of the meet, recording a nine hole score of 38.

He was followed by Tanner Ross with a 42; Corey McFarland with a 44; Alec McAlpine with a 45; and Zack Daugherty with a 50.


Last Friday night the Pacers won a three-way match at Sunrise.

Switzerland County finished with a team score of 174 to outlast Lawrenceburg with 176 and Madison with 178.

Alec McAlpine led the way with a 40; followed by Zack Daugherty with a 44; Walter Barnes and Tanner Ross each fired a 45; and Corey McFarland had a 47. Jeff Mullins had a 49; and Alex Curran finished with a 51.


Last Thursday the Pacers fell in a three-way match at North Branch.

South Ripley won the event with a team score of 186; followed by Jac-Cen-Del with 188; and Switzerland County with 191.

Alec McAlpine had a 42 to lead the Pacers; followed by Walter Barnes with a 44; Zack Daugherty with a 52; and Jeff Mullins with a 53.
