Pacer golfers third in ORVC; look to Sectional
The Switzerland County boys golf team has been busy over the past week, competing in match play as well as the confrence meet.
Here’s a look at recent action.
Three-Way Match
On Wednesday, June 18th, the Pacers placed a close second place to Milan in a match played at Sunrise in Madison.
Milan won the match with a team score of 176; followed by Switzerland County with 178 and South Ripley had a score of 204.
Individually, Evan Bosaw was the meet medalist, firing of low round score of 41.
Ethan Weaver finished with a round of 43; Jacob Williams fired a 46; Jacob Stewart finished with a 48; and Ben Bovard had a round of 49.
Conference
On Saturday, the Pacers returned to Sunrise Golf Course in Madison to compete in the ORVC Conference Match.
Led by Evan Bosaw, the Pacers finished with a team score of 382 to earn third place overall in the 18-hole event.
Bosaw earned All Conference honors by finishing fourth overall with a total score of 84 (42/42).
Jacob Stewart finished with a 98 (47/51); Jacob Williams had a 99 (47/52); Ethan Weaver had a 101 (52/49); and Ben Bovard finished with a 110 (53/57).
Milan won the conference with a team score of 358; followed by Rising Sun with a 369.
After the Pacers, Jac-Cen-Del was fourth with a 404; Southwestern was fifth with 405; and South Ripley was sixth with 436. Shawe Memorial did not have enough golfers to record a team score.
Belterra Match
On Monday, May 22nd, the Pacers finished third in a four-team match at Belterra.
Madison won the match with a team score of 154; followed by Milan with 182; Switzerland County with 202; and Jac-Cen-Del with 214.
Evan Bosaw was again the low round golfer for the Pacers, finishing with a 43.
Jacob Williams had a 47; Ethan Weaver had a 53; and Jacob Stewart and Ben Bovard each had a 59.
