The Switzerland County boys golf team traveled back to The Links at Rising Star on Tuesday, April 10th, and had a successful evening — as the Pacers earned second place overall in the South Ripley Invitational.
The meet was held at Rising Sun after South Ripley’s home course was unable to host the match.
“It was a cold evening, but we had a lot of improvement from our last meet,” Coach Natalie Wheeler said. “I am so proud of the boys for fighting through the weather and placing second out of five teams.”
Switzerland County was led by Garrett Demaree, who finished third overall with a score of 43. Tyler Konkle and Kyle Whitham also had scores of 43, and finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Aaron Bladen had a score of 60; and Austin Wolf fired a 64.
Rising Sun won the meet with a team score of 175; followed by Switzerland County with 189; Milan with 191; and Jac-Cen-Del with 240. South Ripley did not have enough golfers to qualify for a team score.
