The Switzerland County varsity baseball team dropped its ORVC season opener on Monday night with a 10-4 loss to South Ripley.
Zach Osowski finished with two hits and two RBI to lead the Switzerland County offense; and on the mound, Brandon Otter pitched five innings, striking out three, walking six, and giving up two earned runs.
Ryan Peters pitched two innings for the Pacers, striking out five and walking just two and allowing two earned runs.
“It was a very disappointing way to start the conference season,” head coach Shannon Barger said. “We were undisciplined at the plate and committed seven errors in the field. Brandon gave us a chance to win without having his best stuff.”
