The Switzerland County boys and girls cross country teams participated in the Jac-Cen-Del Invitational on Saturday, and the boys won the title while the girls finished in the top five of the 12-school field.
The boys won with a team score of 47, placing five runners in the top 15. Switzerland County was followed by South Ripley, then Brownstown Central, North Decatur, Rising Sun, Jac-Cen-Del, South Decatur, Milan, Southwestern, Madison Shawe, Lawrenceburg, and Edinburgh.
Individually, Braden Burk was second overall with a time of 17:32 – just two seconds behind the race winner.
Talen Taylor was eighth in a time of 18:32; Anthony Dennis was 12th in 18:57; Quinn Meyer was 14th in 19:06; and Mikhail Cole was 15th in a time of 19:35.
Sean Oatman was 17th in 19:42; and Dakota Taylor was 26th in 20:21.

In the girls race, Brownstown Central won on a tiebreaker with Lawrenceburg; followed by Jac-Cen-Del, Southwestern, and Switzerland County.
Then came Madison Shawe, South Decatur, North Decatur, South Ripley, Edinburgh, Milan, and Rising Sun.
Robin Furnish led the Lady Pacers with a third place overall finish in a time of 22:04; and was followed by Paige Ridener in 11th in a time of 22:57.
Allie Mathews was 19th in a time of 23:57; Jaclyn Hart was 39th in 26:31; Samantha Reynolds was 49th in 28:47; and Adeli Kinne was 56th in 30:31.
