Pacer bowlers roll
into conference match
On Saturday, the Switzerland County bowling team traveled to Columbus, Indiana for its All Conference meet and JV tournament.
Coach Carrie Barwick said that the Switzerland County girls team fell to Columbus North because of a short team, but came out victorious against the Madison Lady Cubs — who were also down to four bowlers.
The Pacer boys team was also short some high scoring bowlers which made it impossible to sub in and out.
“The boys fought hard, but could not overcome the deficit to beat Columbus North or Columbus East,” Coach Barwick said.
The Pacer team was more successful in the JV tournament.
Switzerland County eighth grader Braxton Eaglin earned the fifth position for boys out of approximately 40 male bowlers to advance to the JV singles roll off.
Braxton bowled a powerful 183 to earn the second place title. This is Braxton’s third year bowling for Switzerland County.
