Nils Anthony “Tony” Billingsley, 53, of Rising Sun, passed away Sunday, August 28th, at his home.
He was born July 9th, 1952, in Milan, the son of Orien W. and Bertha (Kittenbrink) Billingsley. He was a graduate of Rising Sun High School, Class of 1970, St. John Lutheran Church in Aurora, Rising Sun American Legion and the Aurora Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a machinist for Anchor Glass Container Company in Aurora.
Survivors include his mother, Bertha Billingsley of Rising Sun; his daughter, Katherine Billingsley of Lawrenceburg; her brothers, David Billingsley and wife Diane of Aurora and Mike Billingsley and wife Ronna of Rising Sun; his sisters, Clara Lou Fredenburgh of Rising Sun and Pam Shiltz and husband James of New Haven, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orien Billingsley; and his brothers, Donald and Edward Billingsley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) by Reverend Edward Davis at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Burial will be in Rising Sun New Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio County Rescue Unit or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
