Tammy Jester

Tammy Jo Jester, 51, of Vevay, passed away Sunday, May 12th, 2013, at Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay.

She was born January 1st, 1962, in Madison, the daughter of Charles Frederick and Virginia Lee (Denny) Jester. She was raised near Moorefield and was a 1980 graduate of Switzerland County High School. She was a former employee at DSE in Seymour, a former psychiatric attendant at Madison State Hospital and was a former employee at Grote Manufacturing in Madison for 17 years. She will be remembered for her love of socializing with her family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Virginia Lee (Denny) Jester of Vevay; her four brothers, Charles Wayne Jester of Madison, Denny Jester of Madison, Johnny “Turtle” Jester and wife Kelli of Madison, and Randy Jester and wife Mary of Vevay; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Frederick Jester.

At her request there will be no services. The family requests memorials in Tammy’s memory to the American Cancer Society. Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home of Vevay is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family via the funeral home’s website at

Jeremy Walcott

Jeremy Lynn Walcott, 35, of Rising Sun, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Monday, May 13th, 2013, at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was born in Lawrenceburg on March 6th, 1978, the son of Terry and Karen (Walcott) Turner of Rising Sun. He last worked for Loreal in Walton, Kentucky. He also worked for Harig Contractors in Moores Hill, Indiana, and D&D Marketing in Greendale, Indiana.

In addition to his parents, Terry and Karen Turner, he is also survived by his two sons, Noah Walcott of Dillsboro and Brendon Clifton of Rising Sun; his fiance´e, Angela Ford of Rising Sun and her daughter, Mariah Everman of North Vernon; his grandfather, Leonard Walcott of Ucipa, California; his grandmother, Ida Riece of Rising Sun; his sister, Stacey Turner of Marion, Indiana; his three brothers, TJ Turner, Mark Turner and Taylor Turner, all of Rising Sun; his uncle and best friend, Brian Riece of Cleves, Ohio; his special pet “Dog” that was a member of the family; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Greg Matthew at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17th, at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today (Thursday, May 16th). Interment will be in Cedar Hedge Cemetery in Rising Sun. Memorial contributions may be made to Markland Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
