Robert Lynn Robinson, 61, of Patriot, passed away at 9:34 a.m. on Monday, February 1st, 2016, at his residence.
Robert was very active in the Patriot community; and was currently serving as a member of the Patriot Town Council.

Larry Jefferies
Larry Wayne Jefferies, 68, of Rising Sun, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at his residence.
Larry was born in Bedford, Indiana, on February 2nd, 1947, the son of the late Norma (Louden) and Gordon Jefferies. He was a graduate of Three Rivers High School in Three Rivers, Michigan.
A family service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to your charity of choice.

James McDaniel
James Willard McDaniel, 38, of Brookville, Indiana, formerly of Rising Sun, passed away at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, January 29th, at his residence.
James was born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on August 6th, 1977, the son of Stella (Burkhart) Fish and the late Bobby McDaniel. He was a graduate of Austin High School. He worked as a maintenance worker and groundskeeper. James was an outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and painting.
James is survived by a son, Austin James McDaniel, of Aurora. Indiana; by his mother and stepfather Stella and Mike Fish of Rising Sun; by a brother, Bobby McDaniel of Rising Sun; and by a half-sister, Beverly McDaniel of Barboursville, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father Bobby McDaniel; and his sister Christy McDaniel.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 3rd at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Friends were invited to call on the family on Wednesday prior to the beginning of the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
Gerald Brown
Gerald Lee Brown, Sr., 84, of Rising Sun, passed away Monday, February 1st, 2016 at Brookdale Place, Finneytown, Ohio.
Gerald was born in Switzerland County, on June 30th, 1931 to Rudolph Brown and Alline Jones. On September 22nd, 1951 Gerald married Naomi Berkley and they were blessed with four children: Debbie, Junie, Steve and Bridgett. Gerald and Naomi were married for 58 years until her passing in 2010.
He served his country, enlisting in the United States Army in July 1946 and serving during the WW II era, Korean War and Vietnam War until his discharge in December 1967. Gerald was a member of Noah O’Banion American Legion Post in Rising Sun where he served as commander and was also a member of the VFW and the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge. After retiring from the military he worked at Seagram Distillery, retiring from there on February 28th, 1994.
Gerald was elected to Rising Sun City Council and served as a Councilman for eight years, a position he enjoyed and took very seriously. Gerald loved his wife Naomi and his family, enjoying his grandchildren and great grandchildren in his later years.
He is survived by two sons: Gerald Jr. (wife Deedee) and Steve (wife Delana); two daughters: Debbie (husband Sonny Henry) and Bridgett (husband Jim Bolling); and six grandchildren: Chad Henry (wife Shannon), Zach Brown (wife Kayla), Shay Brown, Amber Louks (husband Matt), Matt Isaacs and Jessica Isaacs. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law Pauline Webster.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; a half-brother Louis Edward McKenzie; his wife Naomi; grandson Chris Henry; and great-granddaughter Stephanie Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 5th at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, with Dean Henry officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, February 4th, from 5-8 p.m. at Markland Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Rising Sun Veteran’s Memorial Fund in care of the Ohio County Community Foundation (checks payable to OCCF); or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
