Roberta ‘Bertie’ Moore
Roberta Angela “Bertie” (Morris) Moore, age 64, of Florence, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 25th, 2021, at her residence.
Roberta entered this life on January 13th, 1957 in California. She was the daughter of the late Robert “Bob” and Joyce (Lachawicz) Morris. She was raised in California and was a graduate of San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno, California.
Roberta was employed for several retail stores throughout the years. She enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening and listening to music.
Roberta is survived by her twin brother, Robert Morris of Sierra Vista, Arizona; by her brother, Ed Morris of Kearney, Nebraska; by her sisters: Kathi Morris, Judy Morris, Linda Essi, Carole Hansen and Theresa O’Brien — all of Fresno, California; and by her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Bob” and Joyce (Lachawicz) Morris; and by her brothers: Jeffrey and Michael Morris.
No services are being held at this time. Haskell and Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay is assisting the family during this difficult time.

Joseph ‘Joe’ Cleaver
Joseph Michael “Joe” Cleaver, age 90, of Vevay, passed away at 1:09 p.m. on Friday, November 26th, 2021, at his residence.
Joe entered this life on May 9th, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Joseph Julius and Essie Sybil (Gilmore) Cleaver. He was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana where he attended St. Francis Catholic School.
Joe was inducted into the United States Army in 1948. He was a paratrooper and was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class.
Joe was united in marriage on June 12th, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Janet Lee Finkbiner. This happy union was blessed with six children. Joe and Janet shared over 69 years of marriage together until his death.
He was a truck driver for several years and was later employed for Yellow Freight in Indianapolis, Indiana, retiring in 1988 after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Teamsters Local Union #135 of Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was a former member of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 and the Indianapolis American Legion Post #64. Joe enjoyed woodworking, gardening and mowing. He also loved provoking his family and friends.
Joe will be missed by his wife, Janet Lee (Finkbiner) Cleaver of Vevay; by his children: Penny Lynne Kugelman of Indianapolis, Indiana, Patrick C. Cleaver and his wife Doris of Indianapolis, Indiana, Matthew C. Cleaver and his wife Bev of Indianapolis, Indiana, Cathleen M. “Cady” Brock of Petersburg, Indiana, and Anthony D. “Tony” Cleaver and his wife Tonya of Mooresville, Indiana; by his seven grandchildren; by his 11 great-grandchildren; and by his one great great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph Julius and Essie Sybil (Gilmore) Cleaver; by his son, Joseph Michael “Joey” Cleaver, Jr.; by his granddaughter, Laura Lee Alcala; by his sisters: Kathleen Haeseley and Louise Cleaver; by his brothers: Jack Cleaver and Owen Lawn; and by his son-in-law, James Kugelman.
Graveside Services were conducted on Wednesday, December 1st, in the Vevay Cemetery.
