Gary W. Deveary
Gary W. Deveary, age 64, of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Madison, died on Monday, October 24th, 2016 at the Greenwood Meadows Nursing Home in Greenwood, Indiana. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
Nathan Lee “Nate” Bovard, age 79, of East Enterprise, passed away at 3:25 a.m. on Monday, October 24th, 2016, at the Baptist East Health in Louisville, Kentucky.
Nate entered this life on December 26th, 1936, in Switzerland County, the son of the late R. Kenneth and Mary Norma Lee (Higbee) Bovard. He was raised in East Enterprise, and was a 1956 graduate of Vevay High School. Nate enjoyed farming all of his life and milking cows. He was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church in East Enterprise. Nate will be remembered for his love of watching basketball and collecting antique tractors.
Nate will be dearly missed by his sister-in-law: Deloris C. Bovard of East Enterprise; his half-brothers: Warren Bovard and his wife: Sharon of Rising Sun and Herschel Bovard of Aurora; his half-sisters: Linda Kay Frederick of Rising Sun; Bonnie Bovard of Rising Sun;, Connie Richter and her husband: Davey of Rising Sun;, Nanette Daws and her husband: Roy of Rising Sun; Suzanne Padgett of Valdosta, Georgia; Cindy Hudson and her husband: Tony of Rising Sun; Joyce Allen and her husband: Bruce of Bright, Indiana; Sheila Lowes of Florence, Kentucky; and Leisa Jensen and her husband Jody of Hayesville, North Carolina.
He will also be missed by his brother-in-law: Glen Armand of Bossier City, Louisiana; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his close friend: Carl Lay of East Enterprise.
He was preceded in death by his parents: R. Kenneth Bovard, who died on January 20th, 1977 and Mary Norma Lee (Higbee) Bovard, who died on January 30th, 1942; his step-mother: Virginia (Bakes) Bovard; his brother: Robert P. “Bobby” Bovard, who died on January 22nd, 1994; his sister: Barbara Armand; his half-brothers: Johnny Joe Bovard, Terry Bovard and Tommie Wayne “Tom” Bovard, who died on March 8th, 2014; and his half-sister: Brenda Yauger.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016, by Reverend Mike Jones at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana, 47043. Interment followed in the Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun.
Friends were invited to call on the family on Tuesday, October 25th, at the funeral home.

Albert Franklin Smallwood, 84, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away at 3:12 p.m., Thursday, October 20th, 2016 at Dearborn County Hospital.
Albert was born in Old Landing, Kentucky on February 4th, 1932, the son of the late Minnie (Samples) and Marion Smallwood. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Albert worked as a crane operator at Goettle Construction Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member of Local 18 Operator’s Union and former member of the Masonic Lodge and Knights of Columbus. Albert was also a Kentucky Colonel. Albert was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church for over 40 years.
He was the husband of Dianne (Wilson) Smallwood. They were married on September 1st, 1984. Dianne was constantly at her husband’s side.
Albert was a talented man and lived life to the fullest. He was a pilot and flew planes. He was a gifted mechanic and fixed up heavy equipment for resale. Albert also worked as a real estate agent. He enjoyed raising a large garden and loved to fish.
Albert is survived by his wife Dianne Smallwood of Lawrenceburg; by two daughters: Patricia McKinley (Andy), of Aberdeen, Indiana; and Jana Fuscaldo of Lawrenceburg; by two grandsons: Joshua Turner (Shaundra Hill) of Cincinnati and Jacob Turner, of Cincinnati; by a granddaughter Kalie Cape (Greg) of Mainville, Ohio; and by his great grandchildren: Eli and Coltyn.
He is also survived by a sister, Sylvia Caldwell, of Old Landing, Kentucky; and a brother, Earnest Smallwood, of Lexington, Kentucky.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; by brothers Logan Cole and Bill Smallwood; and by sisters: Vivian Dugan, Ruth Frost and Nancy Marmo.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 24th at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun. Visitation was on Monday prior to the time of services at the funeral home. Burial was at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Jeanette Christine “Chrissy” Ridener, age 42, of Vevay, passed away at 8:02 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th, 2016, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Kentucky.
Chrissy entered this life on March 12th, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the loving daughter of Darwin Harold, Sr. and Jeanette (Johnson) Ridener. She was raised in Vevay, where she was a 1993 graduate of Switzerland County High School. Chrissy was a member of the Switzerland County High School Marching Band, where she enjoyed playing the flute.
Chrissy was currently employed as a material handler for Dorman Products in Warsaw, Kentucky, for 21 years. She was a member of the Switzerland County 4-H and the Markland Baptist Church in Markland. Chrissy enjoyed riding horses, taking in stray animals, extreme couponing and raising her daughter, Aaliyah Michelle.
Chrissy will be dearly missed by her loving family, friends and her community.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Edward and Clara (Redman) Ridener; her maternal grandparents: Clarence R. and Lorene (Lewis) Johnson and her niece: Shylah Ridener.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016, by Pastor Patrick Lanman at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana, 47043. Interment followed in the Vevay Cemetery.
