Edward Heuer, Darrell Yocum Jr.


Edward ‘Ed’ Heuer

  Edward Louis “Ed” Heuer, age 76, of Vevay, passed away on Saturday, February 9th, 2019, at his residence.

  Ed entered this life on July 24th, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of the late Edward J. and Ruth (Cummins) Heuer. He was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended the Western Hills High School.

  Ed was united in marriage on August 15th, 1986 in Covington, Kentucky, to Helen Ann Vestring. This union was blessed with two daughters: Geralynn and Kim.

  Ed was employed for US Logistics in Cincinnati, Ohio, for several years. He resided in the Vevay community since 2005. Ed enjoyed tinkering on cars and trucks and will be deeply missed by his loving family.

  Ed will be deeply missed by his wife, Helen Ann (Vestring) Heuer, of Florence; by his daughters: Geralynn Miller and her husband Jocko of Florence and Kim Vocks of East Enterprise; by his grandchildren: Wyatt Miller and Jeffrey Oser; and his great-grandchildren: Brantley and Ryver Oser.

  He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward J. and Ruth (Cummins) Heuer; and his great-granddaughter, Rylee Marie Oser, who died on October 26th, 2010.

  No services are being held at this time.

Darrell Yocum, Jr.

  Darrell Dewayne Yocum, Jr., age 39, of Vevay, passed away on Saturday, February 9th, 2019, near his residence.

  Darrell entered this life on January 13th, 1980, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the loving son of Darrell Dewayne Yocum, Sr. and Linda F. Land. He was raised in Switzerland County, and was a 1998 graduate of Switzerland County High School.

  Darrell was united in marriage on July 30th, 2008, in Vevay, to Rachel Ann Ravenscraft. This union was blessed with three sons: Charlie, Austin and Alex.

  Darrell was employed for Belterra Casino & Resort in Florence for a few years; and was employed in maintenance for Wal-Mart for a few months. He was also employed for Arvin Sango in Madison, Indiana for several years and for American Racing in Warsaw, Kentucky for several years.

  Darrell enjoyed fishing, listening to music, NASCAR and was a Colts and UK fan. Darrell will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

  Darrell is survived by his sons: Charlie Robert Wyatt Yocum, Austin Ryan Dwayne Yocum, Alex Levi Norman Yocum all of Patriot; by his mother, Linda F. Land of Vevay; by his brother, Christopher Yocum and his wife, Trudy of Vevay; by his step-siblings: Heather Johnson and her husband Matt of Florence, Angel M. Back and her husband Justin of Pleasant, Savannah N. Kurtz of Vevay, Christian Stroud of Dillsboro, Indiana, Matthew Stroud and his wife Shannon of Moores Hill, Indiana, and Patrick Stroud of Vevay; by his maternal-grandfather, Donald Dale Land of Dillsboro, Indiana; by his maternal-grandmother, Patty Ellen (Smith) Savage of Milan, Indiana; and his numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

  He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Dewayne Yocum, Sr., who died on January 18th, 2019; by his sister, April Michelle Yocum, who died on May 20th, 1989; by his paternal-grandfather, Norman L. Yocum, Sr, who died on January 16th, 2018; by his paternal-grandmother, Linda Lou (Walton) Keith, who died on March 9th, 2009; by his step-mother, Sheena Alaine (Perry) Yocum, who died on October 2nd, 2015; by his maternal-step-grandfather, George Savage; his paternal-step-grandmother, Joanne Marie (McCormick) Kelley-Yocum, who died on May 11th, 2012; and his paternal-step-grandfather, Kirby Keith.

  Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 15th, at 1:00 p.m., by Brother Roy Duckworth at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday, February 15th, at the funeral home.
