To The Editor:
The United Fund of Switzerland County has provided the Switzerland County Nurse-Managed Clinic with a grant of $9,000 to help expand services that we are able to provide for our patients from the county.
Plans are still being made, but we are hoping to be able to provide assistance with tests and services that are important for chronic diseases, but are too often not done due to cost.
Two of these are annual dilated eye exams for diabetics and a lab test that helps us see what the average blood sugar has been for the previous three months.
We want to thank the United Fund of Switzerland County for helping us in our efforts to improve the health of the residents of Switzerland County.
