No new COVID-19
cases in the county
Switzerland County Health Officer Dr. Scott Frede continues to update the community on the spread of the COVID-19 virus here. This is his update as of Monday, June 15th:
The total of positive cases in the county remains unchanged from June 8th. Over 330 Switzerland County residents have been tested. Testing is widely available throughout the state.
If you have symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, abdominal cramps, body aches, diarrhea or loss of taste or smell, please call your healthcare provider to schedule an appointment for evaluation and testing.
Given the risk to older people and those with underlying medical problems, it is very important to self isolate if you are sick to prevent spread to those most vulnerable.
As of June 15th, a total of 22 Switzerland County residents have tested positive for COVID-19. A majority of those residents have now recovered.
As businesses and services continue to reopen, please protect yourself and your family by wearing facial covering when in public, practice social distancing, and continue to wash hands regularly.
