On Saturday, the Switzerland County Middle School softball team made history for its program by earning a win over New Washington.
“These girls are working hard and it is paying off with the score of 17-10,” Coach Veronica Buckler said. “Our defense has been solid this whole season and our bats finally caught up with us with five hits by Brooke Johnson, Madesyn Byrd, Kayla Scranton, Aliyah Begley, and Allie Bruce. We only had four strike outs with a total of 40 at bats.”
Coach Buckler said that the Lady Pacer squad is coming together as a team and improving every single day.
“This is a great bunch of girls to work with who have a great work ethic, too,” the coach continued. “Thank you to everyone who made the trip to New Washington to support us.”
