MS cross country teams have excellent ORVC

Both Switzerland County Middle School Cross Country teams competed in the ORVC meet on Tuesday September 26th.

“Both teams ran spectacular races and have a great deal to be proud of,” Coach Kaulene Green said.

In the girls ran, the Lady Pacers finished second overall, only falling to a very athletic Jac-Cen-Del team. Alisha Detmer finished sixth with a time of 12:46; Hallie Archer was eighth in 13:07; Carlee Boggs was 11th in a time of 13:19; and Bri Stow was 12th in a time of 13:30 – all of which earned them spots on the All-Conference team.

Dakota Richards placed 16th in 13:48; Gracie White was 19th in 13:56; and Courtney Higgins finished 25th with a time of 14:20.

In the boys race, Switzerland County had two runners earn spots on the All Conference team.

Ben Hicks finished sixth with a time of 11:24; and Craig Demaree finished 10th in a time of 11:50.

Other Pacer runners included: Peyton Richards in 20th place in 12:46; Matthew Young finished in 30th place in 13:56; Cale Collier came home 35th in 14:21; Jameson Works was 36th in a time of 14:37; and Luke Sullivan finished 37th in a time of 15:05.
