MS cross country teams earn big wins

Last week the Switzerland County Middle School cross country teams ran in two meets: the first against Shawe and Southwestern; the second was the Southwestern Invitational. The girls team won both events.

– At Shawe, Lady Pacer Gracie White won with a time of 12:43; followed by Alisha Detmer in second place in a time of 13:16, Halle Archer in third place in a time of 13:46; and Carlee Boggs in fourth place in a time of 13:47; and Courtney Higgins finished eighth with a time of 14:09.

Other Switzerland County runners included: Dakota Richards with a time of 14:23; Bri Stow with a time of 15:15; Amber Detmer with a time of 15:32; Molly Hicks with a time of 16:18; Macy Collier with a time of 16:33; and Eva Hicks with a time of 17:34.

The boys also won their meet, as Ben Hicks was the individual winner with a time of 11:23.

He was followed by Peyton Richards in second place with a time of 11:49; and Craig Demaree in fourth place with a time of 12:05.

Other Pacer runners included: Cale Collier with a time of 12:46; Luke Sullivan with a time of 13:12; Isaiah Dayadharum with a time of 14:25; Jamison Works with a time of 14:38; Michael Young with a time of 15:14; Dylan Sullivan with a time of 15:24; and Matthew Young with a time of 15:31.

– In the Southwestern Invitational, the girls again came away with the win.

Gracie White was the individual winner with a time of 13:13; followed by Alisha Detmer with a time of 14:16; Halle Archer with a time of 14:28; Carlee Boggs with a time of 14:43; Courtney Higgins with a time of 15:00; Dakota Richards with a time of 15:36; Bri Stow with a time of 16:11; Molly Hicks with a time of 16:39; Amber Detmer with a time of 16:41; Eva Hicks with a time of 18:10; and Macy Collier with a time of 18:27.

The boys finished a very impressive third overall; led by Ben Hicks with a time of 12:01.

Other times for the Pacers included: Craig Demaree with a time of 12:48; Peyton Richards with a time of 13:16; Cale Collier with a time of 13:44; Luke Sullivan with a time of 14:28; Isaiah Dayadharum with a time of 15:45; Jamison Works with a time of 15:52; Michael Young with a time of 15:58; Matthew Young with a time of 16:04; and Dylan Sullivan with a time of 16:38.
