MS boys track team wins over South Ripley

The Switzerland County Middle School boys track team took on South Ripley on Monday, April 20th, wining by a margin of 65-35.

Joe Hemingway was a double individual winner for Switzerland County, winning the 100-meter dash in a time of :12.29 and the 200-meter dash in a time of :26.06.

Damian Breeck also was a double individual winner, earning first place in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:07; and the long jump with a distance of 15’1″.

First place points were also earned by Zack Howlett in the discus with a distance of 92’3″; and Cameron E. Shaw in the shot put with a distance of 35′.

Also earning first place was the 400-meter relay team of Michael Stanton, Dezmond Lange, Damian Breeck, and Joe Hemingway in a time of :54.98.

Second places were earned by Coren Lynam in the 110-meter hurdles and the high jump; Aaron Scudder in the 1,600-meter run; Lange in the 100-meter dash and the long jump; Caden Hankins in the 400-meter dash; Garrett Demaree in the 800-meter run; Howlett in the shot put; and Shaw in the discus.

Second place points were tallied by the 1,600-meter relay team of Scudder, Hankins, Demaree, and Breeck.

Dathan Brown was third in the 110-meter hurdles; Demaree was third in the 1,600-meter run; and Ben Hicks was third in the 800-meter run.

Fourth places were earned by Cory Taulbee in the 110-meter hurdles and the 100-meter dash; and Hicks in the 1,600-meter run.
