The middle school boys track team picked up a 79-21 win over Milan last week to open the season.
Leading the way was Leon Kinne, who earned first place in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:50 and also in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:39.51.
Also earning two individual first place finishes was Joe Hemingway, who won the 100-meter dash in a time of :12.09 and the 200-meter dash in a time of :26.32.
Also: first place points were earned by Doug Pedraza in the high jump with a height of 4’11”; Zack Howlett in the discus with a distance of 101’3″; Dezmond Lange in the long jump with a distance of 15’9″; Jeremiah Thomas in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of :20.03; and Damian Breeck in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:05.
Also earning blue ribbons was the 400-meter relay team of Michael Stanton, Lange, Breeck, and Hemingway in a time of :54.13; and the 1,600-meter relay team of Pedraza, Kinne, Garrett Demaree, and Breeck in a time of 4:43.
Finishing in second place was Howlett in the shot put; Breeck in the long jump; Coren Lynam in the 110-meter hurdles; Lange in the 100-meter dash; and Pedraza in the 800-meter run.
Third place finishers included: Lynam in the high jump; Cameron E. Shaw in the shot put and the discus; Caden Hankins in the long jump and the 400-meter dash; Cory Taulbee in the 110-meter hurdles; Thomas in the 100-meter dash and the 800-meter run; and Aaron Scudder in the 1,600-meter run; while fourth place points were earned by Lynam in the long jump; Stanton in the 110-meter hurdles and the 400-meter dash; Demaree in the 1,600-meter run; Hankins in the 800-meter run; and Aiden Day in the 200-meter dash.
