The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its “Players of the Week” and “Top Performers” for the week of January 29th through February 3rd; and Lady Pacer Morgan Ross has been honored as the conference’s “Player of the Week” for girls basketball.
She earned the honor by scoring 24 points, pulling down 19 rebounds, and shooting 10-for-18 from the floor over a two game stretch.
She shared “Player of the Week” honors with Maria Berry of Madison Shawe.
Switzerland County’s Ashley Bright was selected as a “Top Performer”.
She earned that honor by scoring 30 points and handing out eight assists in two games.
Other “Top Performers” for this week included: Ebony Inskeep of Madison Shawe; Kady Alloway and Kelly Stutler of Milan; Emily Einhaus, Kiersten Young, and Abby Lauber of Jac-Cen-Del; Jesse Oliver and Devin Brierly of Southwestern; and Kayla Ferriera and Jena Elder of Rising Sun.

In individual statistics for the girls:
Ashley Bright ranks third in the conference in scoring with an average of 14.7 points per game; is seventh in the ORVC in assists with 65; and she leads the conference in the number of three-pointers made with 42 and in freethrow percentage with an average of .857.
April Thieman ranks 10th in field goal percentage with an average of .432; and is ninth in the conference in rebounding with an average of 5.5 per game. Amber Smith is fourth in the conference in the number of three-pointers made with 29; and Lady Pacer Tanya Sefton is tied for 10th in the league in assists with 50.
Jac-Cen-Del won the varsity conference championship; while Southwestern won the jayvee championship for girls basketball.

In boys basketball, Pacer Travis Webster earned “Top Performer” honors.
Travis Webster earned the award by scoring 18 points, getting six steals, and pulling down three rebounds versus South Ripley.
Others named as “Top Performers” included: Blake Sutton, Tucker Brown, and Matt Gehl of Jac-Cen-Del; Alex Murphy, Todd Ungru, and Nick Hall of Madison Shawe; Michael Fear and Trent Tucker of South Ripley; Cody Stephens of Southwestern; and Zeph Vaughn and Aaron Hopkins of Rising Sun.
Jacob McVey of Southwestern and Myles Hornsby of Rising Sun were honored as the “Players of the Week.”

The conference has also released updated individual statistical leaders:
Pacer Travis Webster ranks fourth in the conference in scoring with an average of 14.8 points per game; is first in freethrow percentage at .850; and is second in the number of three-pointers made with 30.
Kyle Green is seventh in the conference in scoring with an average of 12.2 per game; and is seventh in the ORVC in rebounding with an average of 5.7 per game.
Jordan Hinman is second in the conference in field goal percentage at .550; while teammate Cliff Meyer is tied for 10th in rebounding with an average of 5.4 per game.
T.J. Sefton is third in the league in assists with 57; while Mark Sharp is tied for fourth place in assists with 54.
